Our Plants

Grown locally, seed sourced native species that are strong and thrive into the future.

Pittosporum eugenioides

The largest of the New Zealand pittosporums.  It has highly fragrant clusters of small attractive yellow-cream flowers in spring, followed by distinctive black seed capsules, from which the Greek name comes - "pitta" (pitch) and "sporum" (seed), referring to the sticky covering on the seeds).  Does best in full sun and well drained soils but is tolerant of most conditions.  Drought and frost-tender when young.
