Our Plants

Grown locally, seed sourced native species that are strong and thrive into the future.

Hoheria populnea

Attractive flowering tree with large deep green leaves and prolific scented white flowers from late summer and into autumn . Prefers moist soil but will tolerate most soils.  Fast growing and vigorous.  Best on mild sites, as frost tender when young. Grows well as a hedge line, for shelter or a specimen. The oval leaves are toothed and some selections can have very purple backs to the leaves. Wood Pigeons will eat the foliage tips when food is scarce.
